Krengbible ("the app," "we," "us") is a bilingual Korean/English Bible reading app. This page explains what information the app collects, how it is used, who can see it, and how to reach us.
If you create an account, we collect:
This is stored in Firebase (Firestore and Storage, operated by Google) under your account. It is private to you and we do not share it with anyone. The one exception is a reading group you choose to join, where other members see your profile, a summary of your reading, and any note you share to that group.
If you do not create an account, the app still keeps your reading progress, highlights, and settings — but only on your device, never sent anywhere.
The app uses Firebase Analytics (Google) to understand how it is used, so we can improve it. This includes which screens are opened, which features are used, and reading activity — which book and chapter was read, in which translation and language, and whether that translation was the primary or the secondary one on screen. Search terms typed into the app's search are also recorded.
This is first-party analytics about app usage only. It is not used to track you across other companies' apps or websites, no advertising identifier is collected, and analytics data is not linked to your name or email address. Analytics data may be exported to Google BigQuery inside the same project so we can summarise it; it stays under our own Google account and goes nowhere else.
The app relies on a small number of services to function:
Some devotional reflections and section-heading translations are generated by an AI service from Bible text alone. No personal or account information is sent to it, and nothing you write is used to train any model.
Your synced data is kept as long as your account exists. You can permanently delete your account and its synced data at any time from within the app: Settings → Delete Account. If you would rather we did it for you, email the address below.
Deleting your account removes your synced highlights, saved verses, folders, notes, reading progress, and journal entries. Anything you shared into a reading group stays with that group, as a message in a conversation does, so delete those and leave your groups first if you want them gone too.
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will change with it.

계정을 만드시면 다음 정보를 수집합니다.
이 정보는 회원님의 계정 아래 Firebase(Google이 운영하는 Firestore 및 Storage)에 저장됩니다. 이 정보는 회원님만의 것이며 저희는 누구와도 공유하지 않습니다. 한 가지 예외는 회원님이 직접 참여하신 읽기 모임으로, 그 모임의 다른 구성원은 회원님의 프로필과 읽기 요약, 그리고 회원님이 그 모임에 공유하신 노트를 볼 수 있습니다.
계정을 만들지 않으셔도 읽기 진도, 하이라이트, 설정은 저장됩니다. 다만 기기 안에만 저장되며 외부로 전송되지 않습니다.
본 앱은 개선을 위해 Firebase Analytics(Google)로 이용 방식을 파악합니다. 여기에는 어떤 화면을 열었는지, 어떤 기능을 사용했는지, 그리고 읽기 활동 — 어떤 성경의 몇 장을 어떤 역본과 언어로 읽었는지, 그 역본이 화면에서 주 역본이었는지 대조 역본이었는지 — 가 포함됩니다. 앱 안에서 검색하신 검색어도 기록됩니다.
이는 본 앱의 이용에 관한 자사 통계일 뿐입니다. 다른 회사의 앱이나 웹사이트에서 회원님을 추적하는 데 사용되지 않으며, 광고 식별자를 수집하지 않고, 통계 데이터는 회원님의 이름이나 이메일 주소와 연결되지 않습니다. 통계 데이터는 집계를 위해 동일한 프로젝트 안의 Google BigQuery로 내보내질 수 있으며, 저희 Google 계정 안에 머무르고 그 밖으로 나가지 않습니다.
본 앱은 아래의 서비스를 이용해 작동합니다.
일부 묵상 글과 소제목 번역은 성경 본문만을 바탕으로 AI 서비스를 통해 생성됩니다. 이 서비스에는 개인정보나 계정 정보가 전송되지 않으며, 회원님이 쓰신 글이 모델 학습에 사용되지 않습니다.
동기화된 데이터는 계정이 유지되는 동안 보관됩니다. 앱 안에서 언제든지 계정과 동기화된 데이터를 영구히 삭제하실 수 있습니다(설정 → 계정 삭제). 저희가 대신 처리해 드리기를 원하시면 아래 주소로 메일을 보내 주십시오.
계정을 삭제하시면 동기화된 하이라이트, 저장한 구절, 폴더, 노트, 읽기 진도, 저널이 삭제됩니다. 읽기 모임에 공유하신 내용은 대화 속의 메시지처럼 그 모임에 남으므로, 함께 지워지기를 원하시면 먼저 공유한 노트를 삭제하시고 모임에서 나가 주십시오.
본 앱은 만 13세 미만 아동을 대상으로 하지 않으며, 만 13세 미만 아동의 개인정보를 알면서 수집하지 않습니다.
이 방침이 바뀌면 위의 "최종 수정일"도 함께 바뀝니다.
