These terms govern your use of the Krengbible app. By using the app, you agree to them.

The service

Krengbible is a free bilingual Korean/English Bible reading app: Scripture text in multiple translations, section headings, footnotes, a daily Quiet Time devotional, reading groups, and personal tools like highlights, saved verses, and journal notes.

Bible text licensing

Scripture text is used under license or permission from the copyright holder of each translation. Which translations are offered changes over time, and the current list with full attribution for each is in the app under Settings → Attribution & Copyright. You may not extract, redistribute, or republish this Scripture text outside normal use of the app.

Your account and content

If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your credentials secure. Journal notes, highlights, and other content you create remain yours — we store them only to sync them across your devices, as described in our Privacy Policy. You must be at least 13 to create an account.

Reading groups

Joining a reading group shares part of your reading with the other members: your display name and photo, the book you are in, your streak, and which days you read. Sharing a Quiet Time note to a group makes that note visible to everyone in it.

Post only what you would say to the group in person. Do not post anything unlawful, abusive, or harassing, anything that is not yours to share, or another person's private information. A group's host may remove a member or a note, and we may remove content or an account that breaks these terms.

A note you share belongs to the conversation you shared it in. It stays with the group if you leave or delete your account, so delete it first if you would rather it did not.

Acceptable use

Use the app only for its intended purpose. Do not attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or abuse the app's backend services, scrape or bulk-download Scripture text, or use the app for any unlawful purpose.

Devotional content

Daily reflections, chapter insights, and translated section headings are generated with AI assistance from the Scripture text itself. They are offered as a devotional aid, not as a substitute for pastoral guidance or theological instruction, and they may occasionally be wrong. Where an AI-written line and the Scripture text disagree, the Scripture text is what stands.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Krengbible is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

Changes

We may update these terms as the app evolves. The "Last updated" date above changes with them, and continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
